Pool removal in Rincón de la Victoria and La Cala del Moral

We carry out pool removal in Rincón de la Victoria – La Cala del Moral, Torre de Benagalbón, Benagalbón and the developments north of the motorway such as Parque Victoria and Añoreta – for owners who live here or manage a second home from abroad.

During: the same house partly demolished, brick and timber sorted into separate piles

In short

In Rincón de la Victoria we fill in or remove pools, demolish terraces and garden walls, and clear the plot afterwards. It is a coastal town in La Axarquía, about 16 km east of Málaga by motorway, with townhouse rows along the coast and developments such as Parque Victoria and Añoreta on the hills behind. The town hall can require a construction-waste deposit, returned once delivery to an authorised manager is proven.

Coast and hills: four settlements, two kinds of plot

Rincón de la Victoria belongs to La Axarquía and to the Málaga metropolitan area, about 16 km east of the capital by motorway. It has four settlements: Rincón de la Victoria, La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón on the coast, and Benagalbón inland. North of the motorway, developments such as Parque Victoria and Añoreta have been built on the slopes.

In practice we see two main situations:

  • Along the coast, in La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón, townhouses and semi-detached homes with small pools, where a pool infill turns the pool into a patio or a lawn and access is often through the house or a side passage.
  • On the hills, in Añoreta and Parque Victoria, detached villas and community complexes on sloping plots, where a pool may be removed completely through a pool demolition before a new garden or extension.

Townhouse pools with no machine access

In a row of townhouses, the pool is often enclosed by the house on one side and the neighbours' walls on the others. In that case everything is done by hand: the coping and tiles are lifted, the walls are broken with electric breakers, and the rubble is carried out in bags or barrows through the route agreed with you. Floors and doorways along that route are protected first.

Because hand work produces small, manageable loads, the clean concrete from the pool walls can usually stay on site as the lower layer of the infill, with the floor broken open underneath for drainage. That keeps the number of trips through the house to a minimum. For the reasoning behind each layer, see the guide on compaction and drainage in a pool infill.

Waste deposit and procedure in Rincón de la Victoria

The Ayuntamiento de Rincón de la Victoria is one of the town halls whose ordinances and forms require a deposit or guarantee for construction and demolition waste. The amount is set by the municipal ordinance and the deposit is returned once delivery to an authorised manager has been proven. Every load we take away is sorted on site and delivered to an authorised facility, and the delivery receipts are passed to you or your técnico for that purpose.

Which procedure applies to the demolition itself – declaración responsable or licence – is checked with the town hall before work starts. The Roman site of Torre de Benagalbón, the Cueva del Higuerón (Cueva del Tesoro) and the Cueva de la Victoria are Bienes de Interés Cultural, so for a property close to them your técnico should confirm whether heritage rules apply. A skip on the street also needs an occupation permit. The owner and their técnico handle these applications; we work with their documentation.

Walls between plots and clearing up

On the hillside developments, many gardens are divided by block walls and fences that were added over time and no longer fit a new layout. They can come down in the same visit as the pool through our wall and fence removal service, with the neighbour's agreement where the wall is shared and a técnico's view where it retains ground. In a complex under propiedad horizontal, works affecting common elements need the agreement of the owners' meeting.

At the end the rubble is removed and the ground left level through our plot clearance service. You can write to us in English and receive photos at each stage. For whole-house demolition, see demolition in Rincón de la Victoria on our sister site.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón?

Yes. We cover all four settlements – Rincón de la Victoria, La Cala del Moral, Torre de Benagalbón and Benagalbón – as well as Añoreta and Parque Victoria.

Does Rincón de la Victoria ask for a waste deposit?

The town hall's ordinances and forms require a deposit or guarantee for construction and demolition waste. It is returned once delivery to an authorised manager is proven, so we pass you the receipts.

My townhouse pool can only be reached through the house. Is that a problem?

No. The pool is broken by hand, the route through the house is protected, and much of the clean rubble stays on site as part of the infill.

Is my house near the Roman site of Torre de Benagalbón affected?

It may be, because the site is a Bien de Interés Cultural. Ask your técnico to confirm with the ayuntamiento which procedure applies before work is planned.

Our complex in Añoreta wants to remove a community pool. Where do we start?

With an agreement of the owners' meeting, since the pool is a common element. The administrator and the community's técnico can then plan the job with us.

Can you remove the wall between my garden and my neighbour's?

Yes, with your neighbour's agreement if it is shared. If it holds back ground, a técnico should look at it first.

What does selective demolition mean?

Taking a structure apart so that materials are separated as they are removed. In Spain selective demolition has been mandatory since 1 January 2024.

Do you work with my architect or builder?

Yes. We work from your técnico's documentation and coordinate dates with your architect, builder or landscaper.

Do you clear land with only vegetation on it?

Pure vegetation clearing is not a standard service. Ask us and we will tell you whether we can help or who to contact.

How do you protect the rest of the garden?

We agree the machine route in advance, protect paving and paths where needed and keep the work area fenced off.
